AWC A series from Atlas Copco
The AWC A series from Atlas Copco consists of eight liquid ring vacuum pumps. The pumping speed of the models ranges from 25 to 350 m³/h, and the ultimate pressure is 30 mbar for all sizes. The series thus covers the lower and medium performance range in rough vacuum.
In liquid ring pumps, an eccentrically mounted impeller rotates in a ring of operating liquid, usually water. This ring seals the blade chambers and at the same time removes the heat of compression. The pumps therefore tolerate moist, vapour-laden and slightly contaminated gases such as those arising in drying, degassing or filtration.
