AWL series from Atlas Copco
The AWL series from Atlas Copco comprises eleven liquid ring vacuum pumps for very large volume flows. The pumping speed is between 4,290 and 36,600 m³/h. An ultimate pressure of 160 mbar is specified for all models.
Pumps of this size are designed for processes in which large quantities of gas have to be removed continuously at moderate vacuum. The liquid ring absorbs moisture and condensate and protects the impeller from direct contact with the housing. Applications are found in paper production, mining, power stations and the basic materials industry, among others.
