DWS series from Atlas Copco
Three screw vacuum pumps make up the DWS series from Atlas Copco. With a pumping speed of 210 to 460 m³/h, they are among the manufacturer's more compact screw pumps. The lowest ultimate pressure specified is 0.01 mbar.
The gas is trapped between two counter-rotating screw spindles and moved to the outlet side. As the rotors touch neither each other nor the housing, the pumping chamber runs dry and no oil-laden exhaust gas is produced. The achievable pressure range makes the pumps of interest for tasks in rough and medium vacuum, for example for coating, drying and degassing processes.
