DWS VSD+ series from Atlas Copco
Atlas Copco groups six speed-controlled screw vacuum pumps in the DWS VSD+ series. The pumping speed ranges from 160 to 1,900 m³/h. Depending on the model, an ultimate pressure down to 1 × 10⁻³ mbar is reached.
The pumps compress dry between two screw rotors, and a frequency converter controls the speed according to actual demand. In this way a setpoint vacuum can be maintained without the pump running permanently at full load. The two models with a double designation offer higher pumping speed at lower ultimate pressure; applications include vacuum drying, coating and heat treatment.
