Five claw vacuum pumps with integrated frequency converter make up the DZS VSD+ series from Atlas Copco. They deliver a pumping speed of 105 to 1,140 m³/h. The lowest ultimate pressure of the series is 50 mbar.
The pumps are single-stage, air-cooled and operate without oil in the compression chamber. Their speed is governed by the current vacuum demand, so less energy is consumed at part load than with a fixed-speed pump. They are intended for rough vacuum applications in which demand fluctuates over the day, for example in packaging lines, on clamping tables or in conveying systems.
