With the GVD series, Atlas Copco offers 13 oil-lubricated rotary vane vacuum pumps. The pumping speed ranges from 0.75 to 255 m³/h. Depending on the model, an ultimate pressure of down to 1 × 10⁻³ mbar is reached.
In the pump, vanes in an eccentrically mounted rotor slide along the housing wall, while oil seals, lubricates and removes heat. The GVD models thus extend into the medium vacuum range. They are used in laboratories, in analytical technology, in freeze drying, in refrigeration technology and as backing pumps for high vacuum systems.
