EDC series from Edwards
With the EDC series, Edwards offers two claw vacuum pumps for large volume flows. The EDC500 reaches a pumping speed of 500 m³/h, the EDC1000 achieves 950 m³/h. Both models are specified with an ultimate pressure of 200 mbar; the rated motor power is 9.2 and 18.5 kW respectively.
Inside, two claw-shaped rotors turn against each other without contact and compress the gas without oil or any other operating fluid being required in the pumping chamber. This dry compression makes claw pumps a common choice for rough vacuum tasks in continuous operation, for example in central vacuum supply systems, in pneumatic conveying or in packaging technology.
