The HV series from Edwards consists of one model, the HV8000 Roots vacuum pump. Its pumping speed is specified as 7,200 m³/h. As a Roots pump, it is operated in pumping stations together with a backing pump, where it increases the available volume flow.
The pump is designed for continuous operation in large industrial and chemical vacuum systems, including under aggressive ambient conditions. Design features are a water-cooled mechanical shaft seal, generously dimensioned shafts and sturdy helical gears. The pump is available with or without motor and for horizontal or vertical gas flow; frequency inverter, inert gas purge and temperature monitoring are available as options.
