IDX series from Edwards
Under the name IDX series, Edwards offers one screw vacuum pump, the IDX1300. The only model in the series reaches a pumping speed of 1,100 m³/h and an ultimate pressure of 0.05 mbar. The rated motor power is 30 kW.
The pump compresses dry by means of two intermeshing screw rotors; there is neither oil nor water in the pumping chamber. With its high volume flow, it is intended for large process systems in which vapours, solvents or dust-laden gases have to be pumped off, as occurs in the chemical industry and in metallurgical processes.
