The nXDS series from Edwards comprises four scroll vacuum pumps: nXDS6i, nXDS10i, nXDS15i and nXDS20i. The pumping speed ranges from 6.2 m³/h to 22 m³/h; the lowest ultimate pressure in the series is 7 × 10⁻³ mbar.
Two intermeshing scrolls compress the gas without oil in the vacuum space, so that no hydrocarbons can flow back into the vacuum chamber. Dry scroll pumps of this size are valued for their smooth running and low maintenance requirement. They serve as backing pumps for turbomolecular pumps, in mass spectrometers and electron microscopes and generally in laboratories and research.
The four models are compared in the following table with their key data. Detailed technical data, variants and accessories can be found on ehrler-beck.com. For tip seals, maintenance kits and other spare parts for the nXDS series, you can submit a request via this shop.
