Claw vacuum pumps

Klauen-Vakuumpumpen

In a claw vacuum pump, two claw-shaped rotors rotate in opposite directions in a housing without touching each other or the wall. A synchronising gear keeps them in step. The claws open the inlet and outlet alternately and compress the enclosed gas inside the pump itself, which makes the design energy-efficient.

As there are neither oil nor vanes in the compression chamber, practically no wear occurs there. The exhaust air remains clean, and maintenance is essentially limited to gear oil and filters. Claw pumps have become established in central vacuum systems, in packaging, in woodworking, in pneumatic conveying and in plastics processing.

The shop lists 13 series of this type from Atlas Copco, Becker, Busch, Edwards, Elmo Rietschle and Leybold. The tiles below lead to the individual series with their models and key data; matching spare parts and consumables can be requested directly.
