With the CLAWVAC series, Leybold offers dry-compressing claw vacuum pumps for the rough vacuum range. The series comprises five models with a pumping speed of 65 to 950 m³/h. The lowest ultimate pressure within the series is 50 mbar.
Two claw-shaped rotors turn against each other without contact, so the compression chamber needs no oil and hardly any wear occurs there. Stainless steel rotors, a chamber with a corrosion-resistant coating and air cooling make the pumps suitable even for gases that carry particles or water vapour. In addition to vacuum operation, overpressure applications are possible.
