Under the name DRYVAC series, Leybold groups its water-cooled screw vacuum pumps for industrial processes. Nine models cover a pumping speed of 210 to 1,600 m³/h. Depending on the model, an ultimate pressure down to 5 × 10⁻³ mbar is reached.
The pumps compress completely oil-free and maintain their pumping speed down to low pressure ranges. A built-in frequency converter regulates the output according to actual demand, sensors monitor operation, and the units can be integrated into the plant control system via fieldbus or PLC. They frequently work as a backing pump for RUVAC Roots pumps, for example in metallurgy, coating, drying or on load lock chambers.
