Oil-lubricated rotary vane vacuum pumps

Ölgeschmierte Drehschieber-Vakuumpumpen

In an oil-lubricated rotary vane vacuum pump, an eccentrically mounted rotor turns in a cylindrical housing. Vanes that slide in slots in the rotor are pressed against the housing wall by centrifugal force and divide the space into chambers whose volume increases and decreases again with every revolution. The oil seals the gaps, lubricates the vanes and dissipates the heat of compression; a separator recovers it from the exhaust air.

The design achieves low ultimate pressures with compact dimensions and runs smoothly and evenly. It is therefore among the most widely used vacuum pumps in industry: on packaging machines, in thermoforming, in wood and plastics processing, in vacuum lifting and as a backing pump in process plants. Oil, oil filters, exhaust filter elements and, after longer running times, the vanes are replaced regularly.

The shop lists 28 series of this type from Atlas Copco, Becker, Busch, Edwards, Elmo Rietschle, Leybold and Pfeiffer Vacuum. The tiles below lead to the individual series with their models and key data; matching spare parts and consumables can be requested directly.
