Santovac 5 is a high-quality, linear pentaphenyltrimethyltrisiloxane-based silicone oil specifically developed for use in ultra-high vacuum diffusion pumps. It is characterized by an extremely low vapor pressure (down to 10⁻¹⁰ Torr) and excellent thermal and oxidative stability, making it ideal for particularly sensitive and clean applications.

The oil is known for its exceptionally clean evaporation, which reduces residue formation in the vacuum system to an absolute minimum. It is chemically inert, non-toxic, and provides stable, reliable operation even at high temperatures as typically found in diffusion pumps.
