PFPE OIL is a Leybold vacuum oil from the Leybonol line with a perfluoropolyether (PFPE) base, available in 1 liter containers. PFPE oils are characterized by their near-complete chemical inertness toward oxidizing agents (e.g., oxygen, ozone, nitrogen oxides) and reactive media (halogens, hydrogen halides). They offer exceptional thermal stability: decomposition occurs only above approximately 290 °C, and continuous use is possible up to around 250 °C. The oil is non-flammable, leaves minimal residues, and ensures clean, safe high-vacuum conditions. Using Leybonol PFPE in modified pumps improves performance, extends maintenance intervals, and preserves the manufacturer’s warranty.
