DuoVane series is the name Pfeiffer Vacuum gives to a range of oil-lubricated rotary vane vacuum pumps with twelve models. The pumping speed starts at 1.25 m³/h and ends at 250 m³/h. Depending on the model, an ultimate pressure down to 2 × 10⁻³ mbar is reached.
Rotary vane pumps of this kind compress the gas with oil-sealed vanes that are guided in an eccentrically running rotor. With ultimate pressures in the medium vacuum range, they are suitable as a backing pump for turbomolecular pumps as well as for analytics, research, coating and freeze drying. Where condensable vapours occur, this type of pump is usually operated with gas ballast.
