Scroll vacuum pumps

A scroll vacuum pump compresses the gas between two scrolls nested inside each other. One scroll is fixed, while the other moves on a small circular path without rotating. This creates crescent-shaped chambers that travel from the edge to the centre and become smaller and smaller until the gas is discharged at the centre.
Scroll pumps work oil-free, quietly and with low vibration and achieve a clean medium vacuum. They are at home in the laboratory, in analytics, on mass spectrometers and electron microscopes as well as serving as a backing pump for turbomolecular pumps. After longer running times, the tip seals on the scrolls are renewed.
The shop lists 6 series of this type from Edwards, Leybold and Pfeiffer Vacuum. The tiles below lead to the individual series with their models and key data; matching spare parts and consumables can be requested directly.
