Check the vane height regularly: below the minimum height specified by the pump manufacturer the vanes should no longer be run but replaced as a complete set. If the flow drops, the ultimate pressure gets worse or the pump runs louder than usual, that is also a reason for an inspection. The intervals are specified in your pump’s operating manual.
